Having about 850 species of beautiful blossom flowers and the 1000 hectare area of the Kaas Plateau is now a reserved forest which is popular for its natural beauty. Kaas Plateau is a beautiful gateway for people who are living cities like Pune and Mumbai. The Kaas Plateau blooms with a carpet of tiny and bright colouredl flowers in the end of the monsoon months. The species of flowers in Kaas Plateau are terda (Red), Utricularia or Sita’s Tears (Blue), Eriocaulon or gend (White), Smithia or Mickey Mouse flower (Yellow) and a few endangered species of plants like the carnivorous Drosera indica and Drosera burmanii.

There is a compulsary entry fee of Rs 50 per person for three hours (Rs 100 on weekends and public holidays). Only 3000 visitors are allowed per day in slots of 750 visitors each every 3 hours from 7 am to 7 pm. The blossoms at Kaas Plateau are as little as 1-2 cm and they develop in an extremely remarkable, uncommon and common natural surroundings. If it's not too much trouble ensure you don't cull the blooms or the plants and guarantee that you don't litter.
