Here’s good news for you. We have come up with the best hacks and tricks to help you get rid of that gross gum out of your jeans.
However, before we start with the ways to remove the gum out of your denim, here’s a suggestion. Check the laundry care sign on your jeans so know what to avoid.
Take few ice cubes in a cloth and wrap it up. Rub it on the gum. This will let the gum fall off. However, if still some gum is left on the denim, you can take it off using a butter knife or toothpick.
Dip a piece of cloth in hot Vinegar and rub on the affected area. This will help make the gum come out easily.
Dip the jeans in boiled water. The steam will help the gum to get soft and then it can easily be taken off with the help of a toothbrush.
Rub dish soap or laundry liquid on the gum. This will tear apart the fibers of gum and help you scrape it off easily.
Dip the denim in lemon juice for about 15 minutes and take the gum off using a butter knife or a blunt object. Remember to wash the jeans immediately after rubbing lemon juice on it.
Apply some hairspray on the affected area. This will make the gum hard and you can easily scrape it off your denim.
Put the jeans in the freezer keeping the gum area above for about 30 minutes. Once the gum hardens, you can scrape it off the garment easily with the help of a nail brush.
Apply a few drops of alcohol on the affected area with the help of a cotton swab. Once the alcohol gets absorbed in, pull it off with the help of a duct tape.
