While working at a Stockholm clothing store, Nordegren met Mia Parnevik, the wife of Swedish golfer Jesper Parnevik. Mia hired Nordegren as her children's nanny. This job required Nordegren to relocate to the U.S. full-time. During the 2001 Open Championship., she was first introduced to Tiger Woods.
