The idea to provide the kids of the street a new hope, what all is happening in their locality and among them, what great work are being done for them and by people among them, etc. It is very important for the police as well as they can have a check over the activities being conducted by these kids as they have the first encounter with them almost every day.
It's not only working for them but is being executed into a reality by them, from the scratch to the end product everything is conducted by them. Batuni reporters are seventy in number and they get the news from the ground level then they are written by the writers and the authenticity is checked by the editor and for reference in case of the query is made to the advisor and the end product is published by the team collectively.
From 2003, the year of its establishment it has reached this height that even one among them has represented India on a global platform and many news portals and television series are making their entry in their own slot just to put a spotlight on these rising stars of tomorrow. Life is never easy even when we have everything and they don't even have basic amenities, imagine yourself in their shoe; its very hard. The next time you see a press release named "balaknama" do buy it, it's just for rupees 5 and remember the story behind that sixteen-page newspaper
