Congress MLA Asha Kumari got slapped by Lady constable in Shimla

In a video on air on Friday, Congress MLA Asha Kumari is exposed to slapping an on-duty lady constable with the latter beating her back. Kumari was supposedly being blocked by the police from ingoing party president Rahul Gandhi’s review conference in Shimla. Asha Kumari the MLA who get the slap in return is All India Congress Committee secretary and AICC in-charge of Punjab, is an affiliate of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly from the constituent Dalhousie

Conversing to media after the occurrence, Kumari accused the constable of abusing and pushing her. “She( woman constable) ill-treated me and pushed me, she should have shown hold back, I am her mother’s age, but yes I agree I should not have lost my anger. I express regret,” said Kumari.

As per reports, Rahul will appraise the concert of the party staff and seek the likely reasons for the disaster. He is also expected to talk to the party staff in Shimla on his day-long trip to the hill state.After the event, the Congress president disapproved Kumari’s act of slapping the woman police constable on duty. During his address at the Congress party gathering later, Rahul said, “I am not happy at it. This is no way. No one has a precise to lift a hand against somebody, at least not the Congress tradition. I will not bear rowdiness in the party.”BJP ousted the ruling Congress in the hill state after bagging 44 seats in the total 68 constituencies. Congress managed to safe only 20 seats.
