In our daily life we use many fragrances including deodorant and perfume but have you ever thought that what is the major difference between deo and perfume? Although both are used for almost the same purpose there is some difference between deo and perfume, these are as follows:

The major difference between deo and perfume is that deo is made of antimicrobial solution embedded with alcohol to prevent the bad smell of body whereas perfume is made of mixed fragrant essential oils or we can say aroma solvents to generate the desired fragrance.  

The difference is Application:

Deos are applied directly to the body especially to the underarms but perfumes are applied on clothes generally. Also, deo is applied through spray or roll stick while perfume is applied through spray only.

The difference in Concentration of Fragrance:

One of the major difference between deo and perfume is deo consists 6 to 15% fragrant oil with around 80% of alcohol while perfume consists 15 to 25% fragrant oil with purely ethyl alcohol.

The difference in Price and Duration of Fragrance:

This is also the key difference between deo and perfume that perfumes are costlier than deodorants. And a perfume lasts around six to eight hours generally while deo lasts less comparatively.

These are some major difference between deo and perfume and this is upon the user that what fragrance he chooses and what is best for him.
