Vanessa Trump, nee Haydon, wedded Donald Jr in November 2005. The pair both 40, has five kids flanked by the ages of three and 10.

Donald Trump Jr and his partner were reported to have been facing marital woes only some weeks back.

The wife of Donald Trump Jr, the US president's eldest child, filed for a split on Thursday in New York, as reported by America’s several media sources.

According to many media news, the past model filed for an uncontested split, meaning events will not contain an argument above custody and assets.

Some weeks before, The New York Post tabloid had reported the pair had nuptial woes, citing Donald Jr's regular travel and, similar to his father, a proclivity for social media site Twitter.

In mid-February, his wife, who usually shies from media interest, establishes herself in the headlines after she opened a note sent to her husband that enclosed a strange white powder.

The fine particles were nontoxic but Vanessa Trump was hospitalized as a defensive measure, besides with her mother, who was there when she opened the wrapper.
