Ed Sheeran clinched Best Solo Performance at the Grammy Awards leading Twitter furious
Ed Sheeran won Best Single Performance intended for "Shape of You" at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards but was not present to accept.
Ed Sheeran took home the award for Best Solo presentation at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards in New York City on Sunday night and music fans were not pleased.
The British soloist, who was not there to accept the reward, bang out a strong incident of feminine artists for the popular award.
He was up next to Kelly Clarkson, Kesha, Lady Gaga and Pink.
Gary Clark Jr. and Jon Batiste offered the award and received it on Sheeran's behalf. The lead singer did not remark on social media as to why he was not at the Grammy Awards and a rep for Sheeran did not instantly arrive for the remark.
Many fans took to social media to state their distress that Sheeran and not one of the female nominee won.

My son is puzzled about why Ed Sheeran won for a song that says "I'm in love with your body" when women are talking out on being objectified and I truthfully don't identify what to inform him.
