Emma Thompson tells about her heartbreak sobbing onscreen moment in Love Actually.
One of Emma Thompson’s all-time most terrific onscreen moments is when her “Love Actually” character realizes her husband (the late Alan Rickman) has been deceitful on her, leading her to break down weeping in what is debatably the film’s most overwhelmingly touching view.
All through a London fundraiser on Sunday, Thompson, 58, exposed to the spectators that the cause her show was so unrefined and actual is that she had vanished through the identical incident in real life.
“That view where my personality is standing by the bed weeping is so well identified because it’s something everyone’s been through,” Thompson told the crowd, as reported.

“It left my heart very badly broken by Ken,” she confessed, referring to ex-husband Kenneth Branagh. “So I know what it was similar to find the necklace that wasn’t intended for me.”
She supplemented: “Well, it wasn’t precisely that, but we’ve all been through it.”
Although Thompson didn’t detail on the facts, Branagh allegedly had an affair with actress Helena Bonham Carter as they co-starred in “Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein” in 1994.
The pair registered for divorce the subsequent year, while Branagh and Bonham Carter continuously dated until splitting up in 1999.
