You might have heard of Bheeshma’s vow which would have made you amazed. But here is one more vow which is not less than a nightmare for any student. Can you think of a vow of studying continuously till your death?  Of course, we all would like to die if we are supposed to make it. But, there exists a man who has vowed to study till his death. Yes, it is true. Here I’m introducing Professor VN Parthiban. He is a Senior Lecturer in Tamil Nadu.  You will be amazed to know that he owns 145 academic degrees.  I’m not kidding. Before knowing about him, I didn’t even know if it was possible to have such massive degrees in a single person’s account. But, as the old saying goes that nothing is impossible when you are determined.

Professor VN Parthiban was not actually very studious when he was young. In his first degree examination, he scored only 60%. It made his mother very upset, so he vowed to study continuously till his death just to make his mother happy.  He kept his promise and today he owns 145 degrees which can make your heart sink a bit. He spends his 90% salary on education. He is an inspiration to every student.

“After 10 years, I’ll have 200 plus degrees”, as Professor Parthiban says.

I salute his dedication and honesty towards the promise he made 30 years ago. If you ever feel like fed up by studying all the time, just think about him and you will be inspired to study harder than before. So, Good luck.
